As the Program Delivery Organization for FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) and FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) in the state of Wisconsin, we are expanding our team as FIRST Wisconsin rapidly increases student access to FIRST programs across the state. To support this growth and maintain high-quality event experiences, we are expanding our organizational capacity by bringing on new team members to support key areas of program delivery.
We’re looking to bring on 1–3 adaptable individuals—whether as 1099 contractors, part-time, or full-time employees—to help advance our mission across a variety of roles. These roles vary in scope, seasonality, and time commitment, and focus on areas such as event planning, logistics, communications, registration, financial support, and team engagement. While we’ve outlined several areas of support below, individuals may contribute across multiple areas depending on their strengths, skills, and experience. We invite applicants to review the focus areas and share how their background aligns with one or more of these needs.

Available Event Support Roles
Event Equipment Support
This role focuses on ensuring that all event equipment is properly transported, stored, and maintained. Responsibilities include coordinating the movement of materials to and from venues, tracking inventory, and keeping equipment in good condition.
Qualifications

Experience in logistics, transportation coordination, and/or warehouse management.

Ability to lift and transport heavy equipment.

Strong organizational skills for inventory management.

Valid driver’s license and ability to travel across the state.
Available Team Support Roles
Team Registration Support
This role involves managing team registration, maintaining accurate participant records, and serving as a key point of contact for registration-related questions. The role requires working closely with teams to resolve registration issues and ensuring compliance with local and FIRST HQ guidelines.
Qualifications

Experience in database management, registration systems, and/or event coordination

Strong organizational and data entry skills.

Attention to detail in maintaining accurate records and handling changes in accordance with FIRST and local policies.

Customer service skills for assisting teams with registration concerns.
Compensation & Employment Structure
Compensation will be determined based on experience, role scope, and employment structure (contractor, part-time, or full-time). Generally, hourly rates for these roles are expected to range from $18 to $35 per hour, depending on the complexity and level of responsibility. Contractors will receive a higher hourly rate but will not be eligible for benefits. Part-time and full-time employees will receive competitive pay, with eligibility for benefits such as paid time off, etc. depending on hours worked and employment status.
