2024 Summer Community Events & Demo Opportunities with FIRST!

Hello FIRST Wisconsin Teams,


Looking for more robots? We've got a few community events and a number of demo opportunities are available for teams to sign-up for! Check out the list below and between each line break to find more information. Off-season details for FRC can be found here.


Saturday, June 15th - Maker Faire Sheboygan

Thursday, June 20th - La Crosse Loggers Robotics Night at the Ballpark

Sunday, July 21st - MROC Cross-Program Demo


 

Maker Faire Sheboygan

At the City Green

June 15th

11am - 4pm


Any FIRST teams that are available and interested in participating are welcome to attend.  They are hoping to host a small FTC competition as well. 


Teams can register through https://sheboygan.makerfaire.com/call-for-makers/ and reach out through email to "makerfairesheboygan (at) gmail dot com". 


The event is free to all to participate and attend.

 

Robotics Night at the Ballpark

La Crosse Loggers

June 20th

6:35pm First Pitch & 5:30pm Gates Open


Friends, Family, Fun, and FIRST at the Lumberyard:

FRC 6166 with the Seven Rivers Robotics Coalition will be on the field for the Loggers game! Joined by FRC 8024, FRC 2977, FRC 4021, FRC 5914, FRC 5903, and the FLL / FTC team NOAM (Nerds On A Mission), the event will be full of fun with an amazing array of incredible robots and students on showcase.


Tickets for the event will support local teams, promo code information is below!

  1. Go to LaCrosseLoggers.com

  2. Click on “Buy Tickets” in the upper right-hand corner

  3. Type “THOROBOTICS-HOLMEN” under Promotions and click “Find Tickets”

  4. Select your desired seats

  5. Continue with checkout as normal


 

MROC Cross-Program Demo

Mukwonago High School in Mukwonago, WI

July 21st

10am - 2pm


MROC (or Mukwonago Robotics Offseason Competition) is a FRC competition that FRC 930 hosts and where they hold workshops and a donation drive of school supplies.


They are interested in having FLL & FTC teams demo at the competition, ideally one to two teams for each program, on Sunday, July 21st from 10AM to 2PM. Use their contact page here to sign up: https://www.team930.com/contact.
