Congratulations to all of our FIRST Wisconsin FTC Teams who competed across the nine CENTERSTAGE Qualifying Tournaments!
Out of the 84 teams in the state, a total of 28 teams will come together at the Milwaukee School of Engineering on Saturday, March 2nd to compete for one of two advancement spots to the FIRST Championship.
BUT WE NEED YOUR HELP!
For the teams and volunteers who are local to the Milwaukee area, we are looking for volunteers to support the event as Field Resetters, Queuers, and Robot Inspectors! We'd love to see our FTC students and mentors volunteering to support the event and the broader FIRST community.
Descriptions of the various volunteer roles include:
A/V Volunteers - FIRST Wisconsin is looking for individuals interested in Audio and Visual (AV) Production for the 2023-2024 FIRST Tech Challenge Events and 2024 Off-Season FRC Events. New Audio and Visual Equipment has been configured to assist with creating an exciting experience for in-person and web spectators. Learn more here!
Queuers - Responsible for managing team traffic to and from the playing field. Stage and position teams in preparation for the start of matches. Play a critical role in ensuring smooth flow of match play and maintaining the pace of the event.
Robot Inspectors - Robot Inspectors ensure every robot follows the guidelines outlined in Game Manual Part 1 by completing a checklist and placing a label or other unique tag on the robot after it passes inspection. Certification is required.
Field Reset - Repair and reset playing field after each team match. Plays a critical role in ensuring smooth flow of match play and maintaining pace of the event.
