The Curtain Falls on the Wisconsin CENTERSTAGE Season

Updated: Jul 19

The final moments of the 2024 FIRST Tech Challenge Wisconsin State Championship were intense, as our teams competed head-to-head for a chance to make it to the spotlight of the 2024 FIRST® Championship presented by BAE Systems, taking place April 17th - 20th in Houston, TX.

FIRST Wisconsin had twenty-eight FIRST Tech Challenge Teams compete at the State Championship on Saturday, March 2nd at the Milwaukee School of Engineering's Kern Center. From precision-engineered robots to strategic maneuvers, the competition was fierce as these young minds went head-to-head in a battle of wits and engineering prowess.

Event results, match video, and photos of the FIRST Tech Challenge Wisconsin State Championship can be found in the following locations.

FIRST Wisconsin FTC Leadership does have one last encore to share with our Wisconsin teams. As of last week, FIRST Tech Challenge assigned additional allocation slots for the FIRST Championship. Trevor and I are excited to share that Wisconsin received ONE ADDITIONAL ALLOCATION in reflection of our growth this season, meaning Wisconsin will advance three teams to the FIRST Championship.

Congratulations to our advancing teams, best of luck at the FIRST Championship:

  • Inspire Award - FTC 16310 Rising Rhinobots

  • Winning Alliance Captain - FTC 10829 Bay Robotics

  • Inspire Award 2nd Place - FTC 16460 GEarheads

Congratulations to our Dean’s List Finalists:

  • FTC 16310 - Aarav from Rising Rhinobots

  • FTC 10100 - Diya from Phoenix Force

  • FTC 13201 - Isha from Team Hazmat

Trevor and I look forward to highlighting everyone’s progress at the FIRST Championship this season. As a reminder we look forward to your feedback regarding the FTC season this year and opportunities the season could be, "Even Better If...". Due to a small number of RSVPs, and Renee's adventures with a toddler in daycare and germ sharing, the discussion has been moved back to Thursday, March 28th from 7-8:30pm CT.

Thank you to all of our FIRST Wisconsin partners that make this program possible!

The event would not have been possible without the generous support of our sponsors!

Congratulations!
